Photo Album Builder

Turn any folder of images into an HTML gallery.

No server, no scripts, no dependencies — just a folder you can open in any browser.

Point Photo Album Builder at a folder of pictures. Out comes a static HTML page with auto-generated thumbnails, ready to drop on any web host — or open straight from disk in a browser.

What it does

The program scans the folder you pick. For every image it finds, it creates a thumbnail at the resolution you choose. It writes a single HTML file that lays the thumbnails out in a grid, each linking to the full-size original. Drop the folder on a server, or zip it and email it — no PHP, no JavaScript, no database needed.

Configurable layout

  • Choose one or several thumbnails per row
  • Set the thumbnail resolution
  • Pick a background image for the album
  • CSS editor for power users who want fine control over styling

How to use it

  1. Pick the source folder full of images.
  2. Choose layout options — thumbnail size, columns per row, background.
  3. Press Build. The album HTML and the thumbnail folder are written next to the source images.
  4. Open the resulting HTML in a browser, or upload the whole folder to a web host.
