Text Duplicate Finder

Compare two files and remove duplicate lines.

Two text files, one button. Duplicates gone.

Text Duplicate Finder is a tiny utility that compares two text files and strips out the lines they share. Load the files, press one button, save the result. That's the whole interaction.

What it does

Load any two text files into the left and right panels. Press Find duplicates. Every line in the left panel that also appears in the right panel is removed. Save the cleaned-up left panel back to disk.

You can also paste text directly into either panel without touching the disk — useful for quick deduplication of a clipboard buffer or a snippet from an email.

How to use it

  1. Load the source file in the left panel (or paste the text directly).
  2. Load the comparison file in the right panel.
  3. Press Find duplicates. Lines shared between the two panels are removed from the left panel.
  4. Press Save to write the left panel back to disk.

Features

  • One-click duplicate removal between two text sources
  • Direct paste into either panel — no need to save to disk first
  • Side-by-side comparison view
  • Portable single executable — runs from a USB stick
  • No installer, no registry edits, no leftover DLLs

System requirements

  • Windows 7, 8, 10, 11 (older versions back to Windows XP are still supported)
  • A few MB of free RAM
  • Around 1 MB of disk space
